He became a very nice rhino. The author of the project is Tomasz Sak.
As we read in the description of the project, the animal is characterized by enormous strength, will to fight, just like weightlifters.
In addition, the rhinoceros is closely related to Zamość and recognizable by tourists all over Poland, due to the location of its sculpture by the Zoological Garden in Zamość. A total of 43 projects were submitted for the competition.
On the basis of the winning work, after introducing some minor modifications, a walking mascot will be prepared, which you will be able to see during the European Championships.

Oto oficjalna maskotka Mistrzostw Europy w Podnoszeniu Ciężarów Zamość 17-28.10.2018r.
Został nią przesympatyczny nosorożec. Autorem pracy jest Tomasz Sak. Jak czytamy w opisie projektu, zwierzę charakteryzuje się ogromną siłą, wolą walki, dokładnie jak ciężarowcy.
Poza tym, nosorożec jest ściśle związany z Zamościem i rozpoznawalny przez turystów w całej Polsce, z uwagi na usytuowanie jego rzeźby przez Ogrodem Zoologicznym w Zamościu.Ogółem na konkurs nadesłano 43 projekty.
Na podstawie zwycięskiej pracy, po wprowadzeniu kilku drobnych modyfikacji, zostanie przygotowana chodząca maskotka, którą będzie można zobaczyć podczas ME.
